As Kiel Week moved through the final phase on Tuesday (20 June) and another day of light to moderate, shifty challenging breezes, it was even more difficult to stay consistent over a long day of intense competition as the race management teams sought to deliver a full programme of races. Tightly fought 470 classe promises exciting medal races on Wednesday (21 June).

World Sailing has approved and published the updated 470 Class Rules and Building Specification, effective from 15 June 2023, taking into account the amendments proposed by the 2023 GAM.

A light sea breeze brought sleeping giant Kiel Week 2023 to life on Saturday afternoon with competition for the 470, ILCA 7, ILCA 6, Nacra 17 and 49er fleets of the eight Olympic classes.

The 470 Internationale Management Committee officially invites you to attend the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting (GAM), which will take place on 2 September 2023 as an online meeting.
