The 470 class racing at Gran Canaria Olympic Week in Las Palmas begins on 27 November. The first starts are scheduled for Thursday, 28 November, and the regatta will run for four days, concluding on Sunday, 30 November.
LA28 kicks off with kites - Olympic Sailing event programme and schedule announced
The LA28 Organising Committee has confirmed the event programme and competition framework for the Olympic Sailing Competition at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Sailing at LA28 will run from 16–28 July 2028, across two iconic Southern California venues. After the board events conclude in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, the competition will shift to the Port of Los Angeles, where all boat classes, including the 470, will take to the water.

90th All Japan Intercollegiate Yacht Championship – Enoshima 2025
Japan is home to one of the largest and most competitive 470 fleets in the world. During the first week of November, 72 crews competed in the 90th All Japan Intercollegiate Yacht Championship, held at Enoshima Yacht Harbor. A total of 24 universities took part, each fielding three 470 teams in one of the most prestigious student sailing events in the country.
