CAPURRO/PUPPO WIN FIRST ITALIAN NATIONAL RANKING EVENT OF 2015

Fourteen teams representing Italy's young 470 talent competed at 2015 Regata Nazionale 1, held from 6-8 February 2015 at Club Velico Crotone in southern Italy. This series of national events establishes the Italian 470 national ranking list.

Portugal's world ranked #44 team Joao Villas Boas/Miguel Nunes dominated the leaderboard from start to finish of the eight races making up the Portuguese Olympic Classes Regatta held in Cascais from 5-8 February.

PAKISTAN WINS SAIL THE GULF 2015

Four days of racing and leaderboard shuffles in the small 470 fleet, but eventually Pakistan's Cdr Muhammad Akram Tariq/Khalid Hussain came out on top, after a run of four back to back race wins in the final four races.

Jim (known affectionately as "Squirrel") and crew Hudson have been on a long journey to success. Their first goal was to qualify to the 2012 Olympics. They did that, qualifying from their result at the 2012 470 Worlds in Barcelona, Spain.

What could be sweeter than to wrap an Olympic-style event with a medal guaranteed before the Medal Race even starts? That's what 2012 Olympic Champions, Jo Aleh/Polly Powrie of New Zealand have done at ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami. Such is their points advantage, they just have to finish Saturday's medal race to win.

470 MEN AND WOMEN LEADERS EXTEND LEAD ON DAY 4 IN MIAMI

Luke Patience/Elliott Willis (GBR) and Jo Aleh/Polly Powrie (NZL) enjoyed a consolidation day on Thursday, as they extended their winning points margin over their fleets from the day's two races. Just two more races on Friday 30 January to decide the Medal Race line-up.
