The medal races on Saturday 4 April 2015 concluded the 46th edition of the Trofeo Sofia IBEROSTAR and decided the winners of the Olympic events.

Stunning racing conditions in the Bay of Palma on Friday 3 April decided the top 10 teams advancing to Saturday's medal race line up. They all know exactly what it takes to win, so expect a punishing medal race battle.

Race day 4 on Thursday 2 April at Trofeo Princesa Sofia and the race track was a bit more consistent than previous days, as the steady sea breeze filled.

It was a long day in Palma with the late coming sea breeze delaying racing. Patience paid off and the second day in the Trofeo Sofia IBEROSTAR provided great racing and allowed to complete the qualification stage.

The wind played dirty tricks all day in Palma on sailors and race committees who had to juggle with big shifts and different pressure. From 4 to 20 knots, and reaching 40 in some gusts, the wind turned around the bay playing with everybody's nerves!

The 2015 470 General Assembly Meeting will take place at 1730 hours on Sunday 28 June 2015 at Aarhus Sailing Club.

Hosted at San Isidro Yacht Club, Argentina the dates for the 2016 470 World Championships are confirmed as 20-27 February 2016.
