Young Guns challenge at Oceanbridge Sail Auckland

Day 2 of Oceanbridge Sail Auckland 2013 saw the breeze freshen up and the pairing of James Turner/Carl Evans give the New Zealand Olympic teams a run for their money. Whilst Jo Aleh/Polly Powrie kept their winning form for the opening race of the day, races 5 and 6 belonged to Turner/Evans. Paul Snow Hansen who finished 5th at the 2012 Olympics last summer, and is now sailing with new crew Chris Dawson, finished third in each of the day’s three races.

A great result for Turner/Evans who, with their OCS from race 1 now discarded, are well back in the running.

Top 3
1. Jo Aleh/ Polly Powrie (1,1,1,1,2,2)
2. James Turner/Car Evans (OCS,3,4,2,1,1)
3. Paul Snow Hansen/ Chris Dawson (3,2,2,3,3,3)

Racing continues through until Tuesday 5 February 2013.
