Seven Nations at 2013 Sail the Gulf
470 Teams from seven nations are set to compete in the 2013 Sail the Gulf, taking place from 19-23 February in Doha, Qatar. Twelve 470 crews from Bahrain, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Qatar, Russia, Singapore are so far entered for the event hosted by the Doha Sailing Club. A 12 race series is scheduled with racing in Doha Bay against the dramatic backdrop of the city.
The entry deadline has passed, but if you are quick and contact the event organizers on qatarsailing@yahoo.com you can still enter and charter boats are still available. Charter fees are only US$200 for the entire event, which combined with a low entry fee of US$100 makes this event incredibly attractive as part of your winter programme.
For the winners, alongside the Championship trophies, prize money of Riyals 9,000 (EUR amount) will be shared amongst the top three 470 teams.
