Olympic Sailing Tickets Go On Sale
Applications for London 2012 Olympic Games tickets opened today and will be accepted until 26 April 2011. The Olympic Sailing Competition will be ticketed for the first time with the crowds given a unique opportunity to watch the action close up.
Sailing starts 29 July at Weymouth and Portland, Dorset and will run until 11 August.
UK residents can apply via the London 2012 ticketing website at any time during the 42 day application period. It is not a first come, first served system and there is no advantage to applying earlier in the process.
Ticket prices start at just £20 with special prices available for young people and seniors. Apply for tickets at www.tickets.london2012.com before 23.59 GMT on 26 April 2011 so you don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Sports fans who are not a resident of the UK or a designated European country will be able to apply via their National Olympic Committee (NOC) or their Authorised Ticket Reseller from 15 March. A full list of Authorised Ticket Resellers is now available on the London 2012 ticketing website. www.tickets.london2012.com/eligibility_p2.html
Please note, LOCOG will not be releasing the exact number of tickets available to the general public per venue at this stage.
