Nick Rogers (GBR) talks about his Passion for the 470

“There's nothing quite like racing when you are sailing your best,” says Nick Rogers as we catch up with him as he is full on in his Olympic campaign to represent Great Britain for the fourth consecutive Olympics. Three-time Olympian and two-time Silver Medallist in the 470 in 2004 and 2008, Nick Rogers is currently being coached by Nathan Wilmott of Australia who won gold at the 2008 Olympics.

Nick has spent 15 years in the class, retired in 2010, and then came back. I can still “become a better sailor” proclaims Nick. Nick has paired up with Chris “Twiggy” Grube as they set out on the pathway for as Nick puts it their “do-able” goal – the 2012 Olympics.

James Boyd of thedailysail.com chats with Nick – catch this video interview:

Nick will next be competing at the Delta Lloyd Regatta, starting on 24 May in Holland.
