470s Get Going at Delta Lloyd Regatta
The 28th edition of the Delta Lloyd Regatta, Netherlands saw all its participants in the water for the first time on Thursday. However, the sailors had to wait a long time for enough wind in the water in Medemblik and it wasn't until the afternoon that they were able to finish their races under difficult conditions.
Racing for the 470 Class also started on Thursday, with both men and women teams sailing in one fleet. The New Zealand boat pair of Paul Snow-Hansen/Jason Saunders have taken an early lead and delivered two wins and two second places. Ireland’s Ger Owens/Scott Flanigan ended the day in second overall, with the home team of Dirk Bennen/Anneloes van Veen in third place on the leaderboard.
