The French team successfully defended their title won last year in Vilamoura in an impressive manner - they won seven out of the 11 races and also emerged as the winners in the double-pointed medal race on Monday, which involved the top 10 crews. The silver medal went to their compatriots Manon Pennaneach and Pierre Williot, while the bronze was claimed by the Spanish duo Neus Ballester Bover and Jaime Vizner.

Matisse Pacaud and Lucie De Gennes secured their championship on Sunday after the completion of 10 races. The final medal race was a formality for them. The current world champions had such a significant lead over their competitors that no one could take away their first-place position. However, the French team approached this race very seriously and concluded their participation in the regatta with an impressive victory.

"We are really happy, we had a really good week. We started well and continued race after race. It was good! We already knew yesterday that we won, so we are happy! The key was the same as the first day, I think we were just faster. We made fewer mistakes than the others. And it wasn't easy, even though we finished with more than 20 points ahead of our teammates. It wasn't easy for sure, but yeah, we are really happy," said the champions of Europe.

The second-place finish was maintained by the French team Manon Pennaneach and Pierre Williot. "The medal race was very hard, the conditions were very shifty. It was very difficult to maintain our place until the end. But we fought until the end and we made it, and we are really happy to be on the podium with Matisse and Lucie!" said Manon and Pierre.

The Spanish team of Neus Ballester Bover and Jaime Vizner climbed up from fourth to third place, finishing second in the medal race. Roy Levy and Ariel Gal from Israel dropped off the podium, as they finished seventh in the medal race and ultimately secured fifth place.
"Israel was in the third position and we were in fourth place, and yes, we did it! We were very close in points, and in the last moment, we were looking at the French team, who were in second place. We almost got it, but it was very tough and difficult," said the bronze medalists.
Neus Ballester Bover and Jaime Vizner also won the under-21 classification. Roy Levy and Ariel Gal took second place, and the Greek duo Lampis Evlampios Giannoulis and Eleni Giannouli claimed the third position.

In the 470 class, there were 35 crews from 17 countries competing.
