The first day of the 2026 470 Junior World Championship delivered outstanding sailing conditions in Gdynia.

The 2026 470 Junior World Championship will take place in Gdynia, Poland, from 11 to 17 July 2026 as part of Gdynia Sailing Days, the largest sailing festival in the Baltic region and Northern Europe.

The International 470 Class will organise a Pre-Worlds Coaching Clinic in Enoshima, Japan, from 7 to 11 August 2026, ahead of the 2026 470 World Championship.

The US 470 class recently completed their 2026 National Championship (June 15-18) hosted by Windmark Sailing Foundation at the Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville, NY. 

After five days of racing and nine completed races, Simon Diesch and Anna Markfort secured victory at the 2026 Kieler Woche in the 470 Mixed class. The podium was dominated by German teams in light and variable conditions throughout the event.

After a long break without major international racing, the 470 fleet is heading to Kiel in northern Germany for one of the most iconic events on the international sailing calendar.
