Twenty-three 470 National Class Associations and two individual members were present or represented, for a total number of votes of 508. Haifa (ISR) was confirmed  host the 2015 470 World Championships on a vote of 343 (68%) votes in favour and 165 (32%) against.

The dates are confirmed as 10 – 17 October 2015.

The Extraordinary General Assembly meeting took place on Sunday 7 December 2014 in Vienna, Austria.
