THE OPENING CEREMONY MARKS THE START OF 2022 470 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

The 470 European championships started with the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was organized at Arkas Çeşme Sailing Youth and Sports Club. The ceremony started with the speech of Türkiye Sailing Federation Sports Director Tayfun Erey;
Tayfun Erey thanked all the sailors for their participation and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization and all the sponsors.
The opening ceremony, which continued with the speech of Andreas Kosmatopoulos, President of the 470 Class Association, ended with the flag ceremony.
The championship, which will start with a Practice Race tomorrow, will end with an award ceremony on September 18.

The opening ceremony was held at Arkas Çeşme Sailing Youth and Sports Club that hosts this year’s European Championship. The ceremony started with the speech of Türkiye Sailing Federation Sports Director Tayfun Erey. Mr. Erey welcomed all the sailors and coaches for their participation and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization as well as the sponsors and supporters of the event.


The opening ceremony continued with the speech of Andreas Kosmatopoulos, President of the 470 Class Association, followed by the flag ceremony.


The championship, which will start with a Practice Race tomorrow, will end with the Award Ceremony on September 18.
