First start of the championship was for Men’s division at 2:15 pm, right after wind began to spread out on the lake. The first gun was for the crews from the blue fleet followed by the yellow and the women's fleet. During the first windward, flat water and wind condition was mainly around 10 knots with gusts up to 12 knots. After the finish of the blue fleet, the wind began to drop until the arrival of a sudden storm that brought gusts of over 30 knots and intense rain. At that time just one race for all fleets was sailed and Race Committee was forced to call it a day and head back to shore. Assistance was provided by the coaches that escorted the boats to safety.

Tomorrow the qualification series continue for Men’s teams and single fleet races for Women. The warning signal of the first race is scheduled at 14:00.
