FIRST EVER MIXED WORLD CHAMPION TITLES | REDUCED ENTRY FEE EXTENSION FOR MIXED TEAMS FOR 470 WORLDS

The FIRST EVER 470 CLASS MIXED WORLD CHAMPION TITLES will be awarded this year at the 470 World Championship in Palma de Mallorca, Spain and the Junior World Championship in Gdynia, Poland.

Mixed teams will sail in 2020 together with the Men's teams, competing both for the World Champion and for the Mixed World Champion titles, gaining the right to carry the gold 470 insignia on their sails.

World Sailing confirmed their support and permission for both new titles as the 470 Class is heading into the next Olympics in 2024 as a Mixed event.

Mixed teams entering the World Championship will get the reduced entry fee of 355 euros if they enter and pay on or before February 29 2020.
 
The microsite for 2020 Junior Worlds (July 12-19) will be available by the end of February at http://2020juniorworlds.470.org.
