470 Women
The women held their Medal race in the early afternoon, with the wind from the south. The fleet leaderboard ended the day as it started, and was the only Olympic class where the standings remained unchanged in the top three positions after the double-points medal race. Gold went to Mrak/ Macarol of Slovenia, followed by Fahrini/Siegenthaler of Switzerland (fifth in the Medal Race). Bronze to Italy's Berta/Paolillo, who finished two places ahead of Russia's Kirilyuk/Dmitrieva in the Medal Race.
470 Men
A light breeze took over the race track for the 470 Men Medal Race. Italy's Sivitz Kosuta-Farneti had led the series from start to finish and easily took the gold, despite a sixth place finish in the Medal race. Silver went to Italian brothers Savoini, and Germany's Winkel/Cipra took bronze after their second place in the Medal Race. Impressive form from Kore's Changju/Jihoon who won the medal race to finish the event in fourth overall.
The next event in the series is Delta Lloyd Regatta from 26-30 May 2015.
