WINKEL/CIPRA STAKE OUT THE TITLE AT YOUNG EUROPEANS SAILING
06 Jun 2017Malte Winkel/Matti Cipra, the 2016 470 Junior European Champion silver medallists, staked out their intent to win the Young Europeans Sailing 2017 from day 1.
Hosted at Kieler Yacht Club, the event gathers junior sailors from various Olympic and pathway classes for 3 days of racing, 3-5 June 2017 and is a core event on the Germany racing programme.
Racing in a fleet of twenty-one 470s, Winkel/Cipra wrapped up the event with a 13 point margin from their scorecard which counted 5 race wins. Second and top female team were Fabienne Oster/Anastasiya Krasko, with third to Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel.
