WIN AT THE RUMBLE IN RIO GOES TO STUART MCNAY/DAVE HUGHES (USA)

22 May 2015

The Rumble in Rio was a three day race series organized by coaches for the teams training in Rio de Janeiro, from 20-22 May 2015.

A world-class line-up of teams racing in a mixed fleet format faced off against each other, including Olympic Gold Medallists, World Champions and numerous Olympians.

Eleven races later and a very strong win, with a margin of 22 points, was wrapped up by Stuarty McNay/Dave Hughes of the USA. In second overall were New Zealand's Paul Snow-Hansen/Daniel Wilcox, with team mates and 2012 Olympic Gold Medallists Jo Aleh/Polly Powrie in third.

Many of these teams are now heading back to Europe to prepare for the ISAF Sailing World Cup Weymouth and Portland and the 2015 470 European Championships in Aarhus, Denmark.
