TORNEIO CNIL 98º ANIVERSÁRIO CONCLUDED IN CLUB NAUTICA DA ILHA DE LUANDA
27 Feb 2022Today was the last day of Torneio CNIL 98º Aniversário that took place in Club Nautica da Ilha de Luanda the weekend of 26 – 27 February.
The last three races were held under a pleasant sun for sailing and a nice 10 to 12 SW breeze with the first gun firing at 11:25.
This was the second regatta of the 2021/2022 season and the first of the National raking called PAN 1. Everyone was happy to get back on the water after almost two years of non-racing because of COVID-19.
Races were held in the classes of Optimist, ILCA 4,6 and 7, 420 and 470, but the big competition was in the 470 and Optimist class.
The Clube Naval de Luanda which dominated the Optimist and 470 classes in the last year, was overtaken by the hosting club who celebrated today's victory with excitement.
