The Okada-Hokazono pair guarded its top position and seemed invincible throughout the four days. Other top-ranked teams fought and defended fiercely, unfolding breathtaking competition.

For the first time, the event format includes 2 medal races with double score. This could overturn current rankings by up to 36 points, meaning that the top five teams are in the winner's circle.

The current 3rd place Ichino and Matsuo pair, 4th Takayama and Morita pair, and 5th place Yoshida and Yoshioka pair are two points behind each other, and a fierce battle for the podium is inevitable.

The current 2nd place pair of Doi and Kimura

“We are aware that the points are not far apart. It will be important to continue doing what we have been doing to sail ahead of the fleet.” (Okada and Hokazono pair)

“We've learned a lot as a team. Each of us will continue to do our best and hope to achieve a satisfactory result tomorrow.” (The Ichino-Matsuo pair)

"There is no room for error. I want to race maintaining focus, watching out for the surroundings and staying calm.”(Yoshida-Yoshioka pair)

Tomorrow, the Gold and Silver fleets, excluding the top 10 boats, will sail their “last race,” and the two medal races are expected in the afternoon.
