SAN ISIDIRO ALL SET TO HOST 2016 470 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP29 Sep 2015
Club Nautico San Isidro will host the 2015 470 World Championships in partnership with the International 470 Class Association and the Federacion Argentina de Yachting.
Two days of registration and equipment inspection get underway on 20 February, with six days of racing kicking off on 22 February.
San Isidro is located just north of Buenos Aires. The regatta venue is Club Nautico San Isidro which is an island separated from the mainland by a 20 foot long bridge.
The Club Nautico San Isidro is one of the key institutions when referring to sailing in Argentina. It has extensive facilities for the practice of sailing, as well as other sports such as golf, tennis and swimming.
There is plenty of space for all the boats, containers, even a few sleeping dorms if you contact the host club. There are 16 tennis courts, 1 squash court, 5 pools, 2 golf courses, 3 restaurants, and a gym. The club has 2 slipways, boat park for 150 boats, parking area for trailers and containers; building for all administration and Jury rooms all covered with internet wireless; mooring pontoon for the coach boats; restaurant and Coffee shop open during the day.
