Day 2 of the Qualification Series at 2018 470 Junior World Championship and 2 races were sailed for all teams. Weather was no surprise to anyone today too. No wind in the morning and warm weather brought SSW light breeze of 7/8 knots. First gun at 15:40 for Men’s yellow fleet followed by Men’s blue and Women’s fleets in which UFD penalties were applied. The second race of the day started at 17:10. At 18:00 hours and as storm was on its way to fill the lake, just like previous days, the Race Committee hosted AP over A to bring everyone ashore to safety.

In the women’s 470 (56 contenders in 28 boats and one fleet) leading team is the German duo Theres DAHNKE/Birte WINKEL with 3 points net, followed by two Israeli boats Yahel WALLACH/Omer BILIA at the second and Linoy KORN/Shahar at the third place both with 6 points.

In Men’s division, the second day of qualification series find Hippolyte MACHETTI/Sidoine DANTÈS (FRA) on top position with two bullets in both fleets and 6 points, followed by the German team of  Daniel GÖTTLICH/Linus KLASEN and  Enric NOGUERA/Fernando DÁVILA PONCE DE LEÓN from Spain, both on an equal 4 points.

Races continue tomorrow at 14:00 with the intention of the Race Committee to complete 3 races  for Women’s fleet and 2 races for Men’s fleets.
