NOTICE OF RACE PUBLISHED AND ONLINE ENTRY OPEN
27 Nov 2015The Notice of Race for the 2016 470 Class Open African Championship has today, 27 November, been published.
Online Entry is open and the Organizing Authority looks forward to joining with teams as we mark an historic first ever 470 Open African Championship.
Two days of registration and measurement will precede the Championship, which will feature a 10 race opening series and medal race for the top ten teams from 13-17 January 2016.
Teams from Algeria, Angola, Mozambique and South Africa are expected to compete, with the possibiity of teams from other African and non-African nations.
470 charter boats are available on request and homestay accommodation can be arranged. For further information please email: saswc@sailing.org.za
Prior to the Championship, on 9-10 January 2016, an ISAF Measurers’ Clinic will help to train future national and international measurers. Held over two days, the Clinic will focus on both theory and practical sessions.
