HANDKÄS-CUP 2020 BROUGHT TOGETHER 20 470S IN BEAUTIFUL WALDSEE LAKE, GER
22 Sep 2020The largest German 470 regatta of the year (because of COVID-19, almost all others have failed), Handkäs-Cup 2020 took place last weekend (Sept 19-20) in Langener Waldsee lake in Langen, Germany.
Even though there was unfortunately not enough wind to hold fair races and only 2 were sailed, the organisers were happy that so many sailors (20 470s) have taken some extremely "wide approaches" to be there.
Congratulations to everyone and to the winning team of the overall ranking Julian and Katharina HIPP. Second place for Joachim and Stefan OETKEN, in front of Markus MEILCHEN and Bernd SCHÄLTE. First ladies were Miriam van den HOUT and Sabrina DOFFING who came fifth overall.
The hosting club was Wassersportverein Langen (WSVL).
