Get Ready for the 470 Warm-Up Cup

After the success of the first Racing Clinic that attracted 37 teams to race training practice before the 470 World Championships in Holland, the 470 Class will be holding another Racing Clinic - the Warm-Up Cup - before the 470 European Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.

Led by world-class coach Andreas Kosmatopoulos, the 470 Warm-Up Cup will follow the same format as at the 470 Worlds with daily practice races, including published results and a prize giving ceremony with prizes for the top three men's and women's teams. The Warm-Up Cup is a perfect opportunity for last minute training and races.

To ensure manageable racing, there will be a maximum of 30 entries for men and 25 entries for women. Late entries will be accepted on site, only in the case of free places, on a first came first served basis.

An entry fee of EUR 15 per crew is to be paid on site, before the first practice race, at the welcome meeting. To enter and secure your place, fill in the application form and send it to solidarity@470.org before the 24 August.

The schedule of the “Warm-up Cup” and the sailing instructions will be available soon, with three days of practice races on 25, 26 and 27 of August.

The 470 European Championships are being hosted by the Istanbul Sailing Club with with racing from 31 August to 6 September.
