GERMAN TEAMS WIN BOTH MEN'S AND WOMEN'S DIVISION IN 29TH EDITION OF IMPERIA WINTER REGATTA09 Dec 2018
The last day of Imperia Winter Regatta saw no races due to a strong storm that hit the coast with waves over 3 meters.
This did not affect the final results as the rankings of the previous days are now confirmed.
Therefore the winners in Men's 470 class goes to the German crew Winkel-Cipra, followed by the British Wrigley-Taylor and third position for the Ukrainian duo Shvets-Matsuyev.
The women's 470 class has seen the German couple Dahnke-Winkel claiming the first place, second place for the Russians Cirillo-Linussi and the pair from Trieste Marchesini-Fedel closed the podium.
"An important edition that has seen the participation of many crews from all over Europe and that for the first time has inaugurated the EUROSAF 420 circuit" comments the President Marco Savini "We thank first of all the Alassio Nautical Club for the precious collaboration and the sponsors and technical partners who have supported this year the regatta... A special thanks to all the athletes who took part, to the staff and to the volunteers of the Yacht Club Imperia and the students of the school-work alternation of the imperial school complexes ".
