DAY 2 AT WORLD MILITARY SAILING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bouncing back from an OCS in the opening race, Russia’s Alisa Kiriluyk/Liudmila Dmitrieva are leading the 470 Women fleet at the World Military Sailing Championships in Doha, Qatar.

But only just, with Camille Lecointre/Sophie De Turckheim (FRA) sitting on an equal 7 points. Between them, these two have won all the 6 races so far held oer the past two days. Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz (GER) are in third.

In the 470 Men, Jan-Jasper Wagner/Dustin Baldwein (GER) have claimed every race win to easily lead overall. The Ukraine’s Borys Shvets/Pavlo Matsyev are in 2nd and India’s Pushparajan Muttu/Narendra Singh Rajput in 3rd.

Joining these leading nations are teams from Denmark, Canada, Finland, Indonesia, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Tunisia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, USA in the 470 Men and Women’s fleets
