Coaches Required In Egypt and Myanmar

Two ISAF Member National Authorities, the Myanmar Yachting Federation and Egyptian Sailing Federation are seeking coaches with the specific role to prepare teams for forthcoming international events and Regional Games. These are great opportunities to really be a key player in supporting their national teams.

Myanmar Yachting Federation
The Myanmar Yachting Federation is seeking two coaches to prepare their national team for the upcoming South East Asian (SEA) Games in Jakarta, Indonesia taking place from 11-23 November 2011. Myanmar will host the SEA Games two years later in in December 2013. Therefore the objective is to build their training programme from 1 July with the aim to peak in December 2013.

Two coaches are required for all of July 2011 and from 1 October 2011 until end of November 2011, with experience in the following classes:

• Laser Radial ( men & women)
• International 470 ( Men & Women)
• International 420 ( Age under 19, Boys & Girls)

The level of  coaches required is to focus more on mechanical work for young sailors who are in transitional stage from the Optimist Class to the Laser Radial Class. At this point we want to focus more in training our young sailors in their mechanical ability to sail the Laser Radial well and not in their tactical ability.

Similarly, the dedicated coach for the 420 and 470 should also focus more on the sailors' ability to sail the boat well and fast mechanically.

The salary offered is between US$350 to 550 per day net basis for the days they are coaching depending on qualifications/experience, plus economy class air tickets, meals and accommodation.

Egyptian Sailing Federation
The Egyptian Sailing Federation is seeking an experience coach to coach the National Sailing Team of Egypt. The appointment is from 1 June 2011 through until the end of December 2011, a six month period. The target is to improve the skills and capability of the team in order to participate and achieved good results in the following events:

• All Africa Games in Mozambique - September 2011
• Egypt International Regatta - October 2011
• Arab Games in Qatar - December 2011
• ISAF Sailing World Championships in Perth, Australia - December 2011
