BELCHER/RYAN IN CHARGE AT 470 AUSTRALIAN NATIONALS13 Feb 2015
Five races down at the 2015 Australian 470 National Championships on Queensland's Gold Coast and Mat Belcher/Will Ryan are not surprisingly dominating the leaderboard.
The pair have sealed 4 wins from the 5 races so far, only allowing Japan's Kazuto Doi/Kimihiko Imamura have nipped past them to claim a win.
Fifteen teams are on the starting line, in an all-Australian fleet apart from the Japanese. 470 Men and women are racing in one fleet, so a great opportunity for the women's teams to measure up against the men in the different conditions.
Sitting 4 points behind Belcher/Ryan are Doi/Imamura, with Angus Galloway in third another 4 points behind. Sasha Ryan and crew are the top placed women's team in 6th overall.
The Championships kicked off with 2 races on Wednesday 11 February and three today. Seven more races are scheduled over the next three days, with the Championship wrapping up on Sunday 15 February.
