Austria Dominates the Podium at Izola Spring Cup
After racing was abandoned for the 470 fleet on the opening day of racing on Friday 22 April at the Izola Spring Cup, light winds continued to plague the racers and Race Committee. Eventually one race was completed on Saturday with a further 4 races on Sunday 24 April and it is the Austrian pairing of Florian Felzmann and Simon Bildstein who lead the fleet with a 1 point margin over the second place team to claim the gold medal.
Posting two race wins Felzmann and Bildstein sit just ahead of their teammates Simon Meister and Marc Simmer who take the silver with 8 points. Another Austrian team hold claim the bronze medal on ten points.
