ASIAN SAILING CHAMPIONSHIP 2018 DAY #3 – STAYING FOCUSSED AT JAKARTA
23 Jun 2018Jakarta was picture perfect for the third day of racing at the Asian Sailing Championships 2018 with clear blue skies and a consistent 8-13 knot easterly breeze that whetted the appetite of the 243 sailors from 15 nations who thrive in the such conditions.
The Men’s and Women’s 470 sailed their full quota of races for the day.
ZANGJUN XU and CHAO WANG (CHN) stay at the top in the Men’s 470. Japanese TETSUYA ISOZAKI and AKIRA TAKAYANAGI are in the second spot.
In the Women’s 470, AI KONDO YOSHIDA and (JPN), have extended their lead to eight points, after taking a bullet in each of the six races completed so far and are followed by the Chinese and Malaysian teams. Overnight, second placed Singaporeans did not complete both the races today.
