AGNIESZKA SKRZYPULEC WINS REGIONAL ATHLETE OF THE YEAR AWARD
21 Dec 2016Poland's 470 Class helm, Agnieszka Skrzypulec, was voted as the best athlete of the year in the annual Sports Awards run by the region of West Pomerania.
Skrzypulec finished 10th at the Rio 2016 the Olympic Games with Irmin Mrózek-Gliszczyńska. Their result in Rio built on a stunning year of competition including 5th place at the 2016 470 Worlds in San Isidro, Argentina - a result which goes down in history as the best ever finish for a Polish female team at a 470 Worlds.
In addition, Agnieszka Skrzypulec/Irmina Mrózek Gliszczyńska won the medal race at the 2016 470 Worlds, won the medal race at the 2016 470 Europeans and finished 7th overall. Their team work also gave them victory at Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia.
