28TH IMPERIA WINTER REGATTA FINISHES WITH FRANCE AND ITALY AT TOP POSITIONS
10 Dec 2017The hottest winter regatta came to an end with a total number of 157 boats (470 and 420 class). The 470 class reached the number of 44 entries, 28 Men/16 Women.
470 teams from ten nations (France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine) contested the 2017 Imperia Winter Regatta with glory to Kevin Peponnet / Jeremie Mion (FRA) in Men’s category. Peponnet-Mion team won 3 races, discarding one 3rd place. Great result for the french pair that started sailing together only few months ago. In women’s category, the duo Benedetta Di Salle / Alessandra Dubbini claimed the first place. During the four-day championship, only four races were managed to start as strong winds (and at times no wind) kept the Race Committee and the boats ashore.
