Welcome to Doha
Doha, the capital city of the state of Qatar, will host the 2010 470 Junior World Championships and will mark the first time a 470 Championship has been held in the Middle East. With the explosion of sailing and sport in this region, the 470 Class is proud to be partnering with the Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation.
Qatar has targeted itself as one of the world's leading sports destinations and continues to expand existing infrastructure and build new facilities to accommodate this growing market niche. Doha hosted the 2006 Asian Games, which was the largest Asian Games ever held and included the 470 Men and 470 Women.
